alright lads and ladies i have a 1993 clio 16v,got it 3 days ago had 1 before and this ones dont seam to be as quick last was a j plate full stainless and filter and decat!
this one has a stainless backbox and k+n filter! and a cat and standard centre section! and runnin 16's the old 1 was on 17's
maybe cause dont have full system?
seems to die wen put into 4th gear!!!!
was thinkin on william's engine sourced one complete and not to bad a price
have a fse boost valve to on!
going to get full stainless and decat!
thinkin about tubular manifold!will this make a difference?
was also going to purchase direct air filter from hill power!
help wat have you done with out taking the head off and got noticable gains?
all info apreciated!! |

Some valvers are quick, others are dog slow! its all about machining etc. |

and the milage, ware on engine,
fit straight through
get manifold
air filter as close to the floor as u can i find helps out aswell
get it chipped
rolling roaded and setup professionaly |

I'd say put the standard backbox on it, with a decent de-cat of the correct bore, then ditch the K&N and put a panel filter or standard filter in. Get rid of the 16's and put some nice 15's on, then give the engine oil and oil filter a change, change the spark plugs and give the gearbox oil a change. |

Not really, the 190k valver engine i had orginally pulled alot better than the 140k i bought.
How quick have you had out of the black one that got smacked? |

i had 140 out the back 1 with 160k on the clock without givin it all it had and my blue 1 hasnt see over 130 yet with 100k on the clock, and both cars were standard befre i got them jus with 60k miles diff, and the black one was defo quicker, faster aceleration |

i think you need tht de-cat on defo, replace the cone filter for something like a viper or replacement panel filter, give it a full service inc cambelts, tensioners, and water pump, use NICE oil not CRAP please lol, wheel size personal preferance, tbh it might not have been re-mapped for the fse so et it mapped for the sake of it and see if its nippyer |

decat on ite way not yet fitted fse was my mistake lol bought it new so should be set up as for clio16v! |
