So whats the 'donation' to the knowlage base and where does it go?
Surly one donation should cover the whole lot - being a member of RR should grand you access to everything - or entry should be at the discression of the admins.
After all, its often the knowlage base that encourages new members to sign up and visit us - and stops us having to answer the same questions again and again in Tech. |

thats true £15 a year is a lot if you just want one or two pieces of information, but on the other hand why should the information be given away for free? haynes wouldn't, plus last time i checked they didnt have colour photos and real in deepth information on said subject |

Bloody hell, have you been having english lessons?
I wasn't saying they should be free, but just wanted to clairfy the issue.
Maybe we sould put them into a PDF e-book form where people could 'buy' a specific artical which they needed to view or say £1.50 for 5 articals for £5 which would also cover them for technical support on that artical.
We could also write a copyright and sell them as an e-book on eBay for example.
Just an idea. |

thanks teacher gave me a gold star today
na thats a great idea really if you think about it you could give the usual subscribers here if for free but sel the Ebooks on Ebay and raise money towards making the forum run smoothly, on Ebay you are gonna grab more peoples attention and more profits than if you charge for it on here
defo chet you need to look into and think this one through
£1.50 an artical on Ebay and you'll be laughing |

The sad state of affairs is when free information is taken from the site and used/sold to make a profit for someone else. I can understand why admin are taking these steps however I personally feel that the donations/subscriptions that we pay to be a site subscriber should incorporate the cost of the knowledge base. If that means that these subscriptions go up in cost then so be it, we only pay a fiver every two years as it is anyway. |

Well seeing as none of the rest of the admin team seem to give a fuck about your opinions i've changed it around.
Its now set to 10/year for access to everything, anyone who paid for KB access has been refund and will need to subscribe again |
