Hey guys and gals, new to the site, thanks to Chet T16's referral via an ebay auction! Im 22 male, live at the centre of civilisation (aka Cardiff,Wales) and im a genuine car enthusiast.

I drive a Phase 2 Renault 19 16v, my 4th french car after having two ax's and two 205 gti's. Went through an italian phase for a while, Delta HF, Lancia Y10 Turbo, Tipo 16v but ive always loved the 19 cabby so when opportunity arose i bit ot on the balls!

Im very hands on with cars, its my vie in fact, and the Cab has already had a "few" repairs and additions in my short ownership (3 months)

Rocker cover gasket
Starter motor
Alternator
Rear Engine mount
Track rod ends
Front discs
Front Pads
Rebuilt front calipers
Rear Discs
Rear pads
Various vacumn pipes and water hoses
Chipped ECU
Set of 17" alloys
Battery.

Not bad so far! Bt shes coming together, apart form some strange dinks along the tops of both wings??? bodywork wise shes a stunner, not a single parking dent or trolley dent, no rust (or not that ive found yet) and you can even see the thr rear screen Very Happy

Will try to get some pics up here a.s.a.p.

I worked as a Ripspeed specialist between leaving uni and getting a real job and am pretty clued up on the audio visual side of things, and as i said, repairs and upkeep is my vice Wink Though if a friend ever asks for a hand doing a timing belt on their 20vT Fiat coupe, RUN AND RUN FAST!

Lastly, used to host and run my own car based website and forum, though it was more of a boy racer hideout rather than an enthusiasts digs, but ive always tried to get involved with whichever community my current car relates to, can come in handy!

Ohh a Tipo 16V!!! Very Happy Love 'em!

Welcome matey, hope you stick around. You should find we're an agreeable bunch on the whole, and you sound like you'll fit right in Thumbs Up!

The dents along the tops of the wings are from a couple of things. Ham fisted MOT tester pushing down on them to test the front shocks is one theory, and the other theory is ham fisted mechanics/owners leaning on them to peer into the bay or carry out repairs. The metal is very thin and easily deformed Sad

Im well aware of the tarnished reputation the Ripspeed brand carries with it! But i assure you i dont ruin my cars with the stick on bits from the shelves of Halfrauds.... i like them standard apart from some nice wheels, lowering and anything which makes them, go quicker or last longer! Im actually into engine bay detailing too.... (hangs his head in shame) only just begun on this one, another one of my vices you could say....

Ill get some pics up asap... got a few on the engine from earlier, heres one, nothing too exciting just another F7P Rolling Eyes

I dont even have some crappy fancy graphic display on my headunit! Nakamichi CD400 plain and simple.

More chance of seeing a smart car riding 22's than my car with leds on it! Shocked
