First update
One of the things i want to do with this car is keep it as standard looking as possible
As i'm not using the standard renault ECU the trip computer fitted to the car is of no use. I thought to myself that i could use the space in the dash for something else. The obvious choice was the wideband o2 sensor display as its quite bulky
Heres an old clock set i have to piss about with before taking the real ones apart. Those are actually white dials that have faded to a horrible sick yellow! As you can see the trip display has been removed. The display was perfect on this but as soon as i unclipped it it leaked out

This is the display itself

This is the rear of the clocks with its nicely sized hole, just a few mill too small as you can see in the secong pic

This is the insides of the display i was hoping it would be a bit smaller than the casing but alas no so its going to take a little more work to fit

Heres a little animation of the display in action. Pretty ligths

Ok well thats a non-runner as getting a needle/analogue petrol gauge in is gonna be more troube than its worth
Preference now is the dash vent on the drivers side which i have here in front of me
While i was pulling it out of the car i looks at the mileage - 61700 miles |

A few minute later with a dremel type tool i found (3.6v as hanna said "i've seen more intimidating toothbrushes")

I seriously think it was made for it!
