Hey all,
Am just wondering what the max amount is you can lower a renault 5 by? I know the GT turbos are stock 35mm drop, but if it was running 15's with low profiles do you reckon a 70mm drop on front and 60mm on rear is about as near as you can get it?
Also any other companies other than PI make springs for stock R5's?
Any drawbacks to fitting lowered hardened springs to standard absorbers?
cheers all! |

70mm will go.
stiffer springs will give shockers are harder time but nothign to dramatic. |

try leda for dampers. you will have big probs with the rear. remember the gtt had 13" rims droping 70 mm and putting 15" rims the wheels will rub, with out having the wheel arches turned. mine is droped 30 with 185/60x 14 and I have 1mm clearance on the off side. |

True, though on closer inspection there isnt alot of difference between 15" with low profiles and 13" with standard tyres! ill be careful, but as a mates doing it then we can test and see before I leave. |
