I have a question about repairing the shocks on R5, but since the Clio and R19 have the same suspension layouts, it applicable to those cars also...
I have -35mm OMP springs for my R5 but they're not fitted.
I know that most of the uprated shocks have shorter telescopes, and I know where can I get that job done, but the problem is that I don't know how much to shorten the front and the rear shocks. I know that -35 spring isn't too short that it needs chopping the telescopes but it's shure better than standard height...
Is there a method for "calculating" that?
I hope my english isn't that bad that you don't understand, here's the picture so you can get the point

its not just the length thats different.
if you are just worried about it popping out then for say 35 mm drop take 25mm off the shock so theres a bit more preload.
it will still bottom out just as easily. |
