It can be a pain in the ass to get out, took me 25 minutes to remove one from my old valver for Mals's cabby last tuesday.
DC battery
Remove Starter Heatsheild (2 bolts)
Remove cables
undo the 3 bolts that hold the starter to the gearbox
from under the car
there is 2 brackets to remove
first one has 2 bolts and is the bracket that bolts onto the side of the block and the exhaust manifold
second bracket has a bolt that holds it onto the back of the starter motor and 2 that hold it onto the engine.
2nd bracket is the 'y' shaped one
now the starter should be free and u just pop it out |
