well I have just earned meself some cash.

Scrap metal prices have risen at last! yeah.

Yard near me gives £58 per ton.

So I load up the pug with crap from the back.

19 16V front subframe and wishbones, energy rear axle with drums etc, 2 exhaust systems and various other bits and bobs.

i reckoned it weighed a good 250kg's.

Get down the yard and it turns otu to be only 120kg's, doesn't seem right.

The 306 with me and Amber but minus the parcel shelf weighs in at 1220kg's!

So how much cold hard cash did I get for my 120kg's? Well a whopping £6.96! lol

Better than it sitting in the garden rotting I suppose.

probably not.

But the fact is the stuff was gettign in the way makign the back look even worse so it needed done.

If I had just taken it to the normal dump then I wouldn't have got any money, this way I get a wee bit of cash, not as much as I had hoped but hey, which will buy a mag/maccie d's/get my tyres fitted.

Anyway the plan is to start stealing roadsigns, manhole covers and railings! lol

nah I got it uplifted for nothing.

I don't have anything thats able to transport a whole shell.

And when the 16V shell went scrap was at rock bottom value. Its the 1st rise in scrap value in 8 years.

nope, has to wait until mon/tues.

Which is an arse. I had to take the existing fronts off cops they had worn right through the metal wires and were seeping air constantly.

So now the beast has the 17's on the back and the Sebrings that were on the back on the front.

The 17's suit it not bad, not as well as white chammy though.

The Sebrings were on the old hatch each tyre has at least count 3 nails/screws in each. They ar egreat tyres though, the difference to the handling with them on the front and the 17's is amazing. I actually like the car again. Road noise is a lot less and the grip is much better.

But alas when I came out this morning the passenger front sebring was flat, pumped it up now down here at my mums (where the rest of my knackered wheel supply is) so will have a look at the tyre an dsee if some wee bastard let it down or a nail has popped out.

Anyway can't wait until I get a full set of toyos on it.

Still not as nice as the hatch but hey. Needs a trackrod end and the tracking sorted out pronto. As if a set of toyos got munched through in 1k miles (about a month or less) would make me a tad upset.
