Oke guys, just when you think you fixed her...
First what did we fix.
Headgasket (leaked out at a corner)
Rockercover gasket
Cambelt
Auxbelt
Cambelt tightner
Headbolts
First say 100km she ran fine but after that the car started a whining noise. It's coming from the cambelt area, i removed the cover nothing to see since we changed everything except the cambelt idler (if that how you call it). What does this sound like on it's way out. The sound was about 10 times harder but offcourse when you make try making a video it's almost gone :S It's a metal whining noise. Well listen for yourself.
[video width=320 height=240:46c300aaab]http://prive.etict.nl/kop/MOV00003.avi[/video:46c300aaab]
And here are some pics of the job getting done. Luckily i ain't on them Check the sorry state the head corner is in and the nice looking 3rd cylinder

It could be can that cause such nasty whining? In the video the sound is very soft but sometimes when driving it its hearable through the whole car. |

Idler.
I changed mine. If I spin it the old one by hand I can feel that the bearing has no more grease in it.
The squeeky sound you have sounds like a dry bearing. |

Yeah that's exacly what im thinking at the moment the engine stood still for more then a month so it started squeeking now the engine has run a little more the sound is completely gone but you can still here the bearing a bit so it's defo gone... At first i thought the belt was to tight or to loose but went to renault with camcover of and they checked it and said it was oke they wouldn't say what the sound was damn feckers they just want you to book it in and let them fix it bastards. |
