Been noticing an oil patch beneath my car since I got it back with the replacement gearbox. It didn't have a leak before the whole 2nd gear 40Mph on the M5 for 5 miles situation but now it does.
I've had a look under the boonet and it doesn't appear to be coming from the ocker cover gasket but instead behind the airbox assembly. It appears to be from the Head to BE join.
I've checked the coolant and it doesn't appear to have any oil in and the oil filler cap doesn't have an white mayo.
The car doesn't appear to smoke either.
Could this perhaps be early signs of a HG failure or maybe the BE or head being cracked?
I don't know weather to keep the oil topped up, hope for the best and live with it or get it sorted (when I find out what's wrong)
Any ideas peeps? This another 'common problem'?
Cheers. |
