Hey all, been meaning to post up some pics of my little pocket rocket so here it is!
let me know what you think! I havent done anything to the engine cept a bodged induction kit so I concentrated on the interior.I wanna slam it soon, and get some alloys on it.The front bumpers being replaced when I get round to sorting it out but not sure what else to do to the exterior of the car? I am tempted to get some clear indicators front and side but other than that I dont want to whack a huge bodykit on it as I dont see the point.
Any other suggestions? |

Given that he is only 20, he prolly finds insurance on a valver a bit too steep, same as roger red hat.
so sticking with the 1.4 is a good idea for a while whilst he builds up his no claims etc.
dooge, i would not spend too much money on it, clean it up by sorting out the front bumper etc and sure put clear indicators on it if thats what you like, they do make older cars look a bit more up to date but please leave the rear lights as they are, clear rear lights on the 5 never look good imo.
To be honest you prolly wont keep it that long, as you get older you will want something quicker and Chris H is right in that respect, get a car thats already reasonably quick like a clio valver or a 19 valver etc so save any money u was gonna spend on the 5 and put it away in preperation for another car in like 18 months / 2 years time.
Keep that 5 clean looking, i have a soft spot for the 5s and they do look better clean and unmessed with. |

would smarten that up a treat..
but DONT put a gtt body kit on it.
annoys me that dose, making a car out to be what its not. |

looks tidy as it is, colour code the bumpers, maybe lower it a bit, and put some sensible wheels on it, maybe gtt items? |

I agree with roger red hat on the GTT kit, I dont see much point as it isnt a turbo! never thought of colour coded stuff to be honest! I would surely have to colour code the side panels aswell if I did the bumpers otherwise it would look weird? I have some alloys semi payed for, so thats cool.I dont want to spend too much, just to keep it tidy like it is, and im sure someone would love it as a first car as much as me! Ive only been driving for 2 months so even a 16 valver would be expensive.I did think of upgrading to a '96/'97 megane 1.4 hatchback as its about £15 more on insurance and they always look good slammed! |
