Will the gearbox from a 1993 R19 1.9 TD fit a 1998 scenic 1.9 TD? or are there more details needed to determine this?
TIA

OK slight change of plan, would the engine from the 19 fit straight into a non turbo deisel megane or would it need the gear box due to ratios? also what other parts from the 19 would be needed to get the megane (cam sproket broken & 2 broken valves) up and going?
Also any other work worth doing whilst the engine is out? cam belt, fan belt, oil change, filters etc |

ratios will be fine.
If its the same just change the head over on to the megane bottom end. |

hmmmmm, yes just looked on Euro car parts site and it looks like the heads should be the same which makes for a cheaper job will just have to take hubbies oil burner to sit beside the megane to make sure they are, only down side of that would be performance. Would it be possible to put the turbo over too? or would that be expecting too much? |
