Well, got some batts for cam at last, so you can all stop moaning about that!

Last sunday, happily browsing through auto trader looking for a clio valver, as well all know about the last one.

Came across a few new entrys.

rung one up and it was sold, another one dissapeard off autotrader when i refreshed it, leaving the only new one left in birmingham.

now me being my usual self was like "hmm, thats a tad bit far"...but then, i decided "no, sod it, everyone says i dont go further then the end of my road, ill prove them wrong!"

So i rung it up.

Spoke to the guy whos girlfreinds car it was, (top fella!) and he sent me some more pictures of it via email.

Looked rather spanking, i umed and arrred a bit about it before i finally decided to go and view.

my mate Dan volunteered to drive the 108 miles there in his escort with a dodgy wheel bearing (lovly noise) yet it got there, and rather well actually.

(no pictures of any of the trip up there or it when i was there as i didnt have camera)

I turned up rather scruffy looking, not shaved and wearing my quality british airways jumper!.I did the usual of instantly wanting to buy it as i saw it, yet i decided to ignore that thought and give it the once over first, starting with the all so well known problems of the arches..and to my suprise! Shocked there rust free..sills are also the same.

engine had the once over as well...

diffrent coolant cap on it, so that will be changed soon.

interior also had an inspection, only a few small stains on the drivers seat wich spoil it, but these should be easy to rid, other then that rather spanking..(and ive not gottern round to giving it a proper clean yet)

i then took it for a spin. pulled really well and genrally ran perfectly.

after that decided that this was the valver for me!

Went inside, and after faffing about for 40 odd mins trying to get tempory car insurance and speaking to nermours 'machines' decided that i wasnt/coudent come and collect it untill next week and that would of been a pain in the arse, so drove it home anyway.

108 miles on the ball all the way..and woo dose it shift.

getting stuck behind cars and having to play catch up to my mate Dan (who took my satnav!)

one second im doing 70 put foot down engine makes that sexy noise, look back down at speedo a few seconds later and its going 120. loved it! needless to say i caught up Razz

then came the traffic! Sad took about 3 hours to get home at a crusing speed of 50 odd.

how ever! it is home

pics..

round at my nans..

as for problems..

Heater fan not working on any settings..

passanger window wont go up or down..trys to move but seems to be stuck, assuming its the motor.

Fogs dont work havent looked at that yet.

wheels could do with a bit of a tidy

central locking didnt work, but thats fixed, as well is the stero.

and she also overcools. hardly gets the the first line when driving...has a brand spanking new rad in her tho..

new front tyer, newish cat back zorst at somestage too, 5 months tax and test, not much history, but what history it did have it had been serviced. new driveshaft. new rad in her, so the coolent has been changed too.

Price i paid

£600.

it needs leveling out, the arse of it is so much higher then the front, i reckon they have put lowering springs on the front end at some point and never bothered trying to do the rear torsion bar.

Apart from that, that looks to be a real nice car Sam Smile

ah!

that reminds me. yes front has been lowerd.

torsion bar shall be done when its warmer and dryer.
but its not urgent, so it can wait.
