Got a quite for two door seals for the cabby from renault, the ones which are on the outside of the door at the bottom of the glass, (the metal is rust and bubble inside its rubber casing) and they wanted 120 quid plus vat each!
Educated guess that i wont get spurious ones, so was wondering what the differences were compared to the hardtop phase twos, and if it was possibel to modify something.
Anyone? |

Neal, predictably, was looking for a cheaper solution to replacing them. Don't think he had any luck |

they are basically just extrusions with shaped ends. I intend to make up some new ones for my black hatch when the time comes. Just a case of looking round the scrap yard for potential donors, with longer rubbers than the 19 to allow modification of the ends to the relevant shape. |

Not so much the 'cheaper' part that is the motivation, more the desire to replace them with something that wont bubble up and do exactly the same thing again... |
