I got a Ph2 19 td and was wondering if I was able to buy a plip key off ebay and get Renault to programme it to my car? If I can, how much would Renault charge? |

Nope, you can't do it that way for the old style plip foud in the 19... you need a key and receiver pair. |

I've also discovered that with the gay revision of the ECU that has the immob circuit in it, you not only need the plip and reciever, you also need the corresponding ECU lol
The remote on UCC was not working, so i put GYPs reciever in and changed the fob (as the remote worked fine on gyp) and it did not work . . so i tried gyps ECU in UCC as the ECU is currently chipped and lo & behold the remote worked as well. swapped back to UCC's own ECU and the remote stopped working. |

So how do you go about getting a replacement key for when the immobiliser is built into the ECU? do you have to order a complete key including fob from ren or can you pick up any old fob from ebay and just get that reprogrammed? |

No I don't have it.
But I have seen it before on a wiper stalk and therefore know what Chris is referring to. |
