My 1.2 has lucas calipers on it atm (the ones that look 'a bit' like 16v efforts) and i'm wanting more stopping power as, quite frankly, the std ones do nothing!
I know you can fit a 16v setup but i can't be bothered with all the hassle of bleeding etc when doing it. However due to the above similarity i'm wondering if i could fit the 16v caliper carriers to my 1.2 calipers therby extending them further out and allowing me to get 16v discs on?
Halfords list the same pads for 16v and my 1.2 so they must pretty similar? |

the 16V discs wont fit, they are too wide, unless you use half worn pads. |

What Neal said!
Yeah, they take the same pads but the 16v calipers are wider than the 1.2/1.4's so they take the pads further out to compentsate the discs, which as Neal said, are wider. |
