OK so i'm having a minor issue with the Jenvey manifold in that there's not enough room to actually fit the bottom for nuts as it interferes with the bottom of the manifold. Now one way I see around this is to remove the studs and stick in x4 M8x20 Cap heads but i'd sooner not so does anyone know if the stud is an M6 or an M8 thread?
I'm guessing it's an M8 and Renault have managed to source a 10mm nut for this but as they have washers afixed I can't get them in.
Any suggestions welcome.

Arse... trouble is I can't use a 13mm nut as there's no room to turn it and the standard Renault 10mm jobbies won't fit on either. Might see if there is a Nylock out there that'll fit but failing that it looks like Cap heads or K-Bolts :S |

I'm just a little worried about removing the studs from the head as it's much easier to thread Aluminium than it is steel!
Mental note to self - Studs are reverse threaded |

the studs aren't reversed threaded, although i'll double check, but im 99% sure their not.
the studs go fine into the ally, so why wouldn't your bolts. just don't overtighten them, but i'm sure you don't need me to tell you that. |

The exhaust manifold on the old t16 was held on with a mixture of studs, bolts and washers varying in size for 10 to 13mm |

like most of them now, they usually fit 13mm nuts cos they are easier to get a hood of and easier to get off as well! |
