todays work on the blue hatch.
work began at the oil pressure sender, senders blocked it woudl seem anyway, I noticed this at the starter
yes that is a bit of wire soldered to the starter where the spade should be and scotchlocked to the solenoid wire! lol gypo! Still it works.
heres a pic looking up at the broken manifold bolt cos a stud won;t go thing
I was thinkin a stud may thread back in, no chance, gonna need to change the manifold.
previous owner bought a new cat at some point! muppet. Its abotu half the size of the original renault one.
I replaced the dodgy bolt on the left with the proper bolt on the right, thats for the lower pinch bolt btw! A very important bolt!
As I was working on all the other earths and I was doing the pinch bolt I looked at the main braided earth from the inner wing to the box. It fell apart!
I alsop replaced the broke rear arch liner, heres the broken one
I also tidied out the boot and done a few other things on it., |

I did yes. Cleaned and roughed up all the earths and topped up a bit of water in the battery...so far it has started everytime, but I don't think we have had such a cold morning since I did it yet.
But touch wood, seems OK again.
Need to sort my exhaust again...it seems to wear that outer mid-section mount for some reason and starts to catch my drive so I have to park on the street...pain in the butt. |
