Well bought and fitted a new main beam bulb first of all. Then it was time to sort out the handbrake.
wheel off the beast, the car has sat thats why the discs are rusty!
then it was on to fit the cable, heres a view no cable
and its in
handbrake now works, thing is the opposite cable is frayed and stretches slightly. So may fit the other cable, depending on my decision on what to do about the car.
also whilst there I took a pic of the tank, it looks liek fuel leaks out through the rust, it doesn't I scraped it all back weeks ago and theres a slight weep up at the seam
I then moved on to the front brakes, the front wheel hasn't been off since I got the car, so i was expecting this, despite the hammer blows and blowtorching 1 bolts still broke. You can also see the previously broken disc retainign bolt!
after fighting for ages and eventually using an 11mm socket on the 13 mm bolts I got the caliper shifted. I used decent bolts I had spare to put it all back together! disc off, ran out of gas so I left it as it was
whilst I was there I poked at the inner wing, I will never learn not to poke will i?
struts seen better days but damps fine
I then dsecided for a laugh to take off the side skirt. lol I was expectign it to be as bad as the other side and I was right!
nice eh! lol
I put a tenners worth of fuel in it as it was very low, it never even got above 1/8th full! runs better now though! lol
I popped th estarter off earlier and cleane dup the main power feed swhich has helped it to start but it still needs the heatshield to allow it start when hot |

they won't lock up when driving on the road.
only on grass/gravel.
You need drums to lock em. |

today fitted a wire in to sort out the oil light and level issue, the real wire is broken somewhere, feck removing all the crap to fix it so I just put a new wire in to bypass it all.
you can make out the wire to the left of the airbox, its the single red wire.

totally changes the look of the engine bay, it also makes the engine a load quieter, theres no induction roar anymore. |
