ok i have a p2 '94 valver chammy as you know. as far as i am aware it is a bonafide original valver.
one question tho, it has no trip comp. it just has a std fuel gauge where trip would be...does this sound odd to anyone? someone said all valvers that age would have had a trip comp. and maybe someone removed mine? its not an exec, no leather. if i am one that never had one am i likely to find a connector block behind the dash so that i cud hook up a trip dash if i wanted?
cheers

Wierd. Someone has replaced the dash with a GTS-X version if it has the fuel dial. Does your right hand stalk have the small button on the end of it? |

You sure you have a valver?
Right hand stalk should have a press in button on the end for the trip functions, the trip computer itself is in the clocks... the speedo cable has an extra electrical lead that splices off and connects to it. Does your dash have oil pressure, ie the oil level gauge moves up and down with oil pressure... |

lol its definately a valver...yeah its got temp, oil level/pressure and then in the top centre where trip would be is the fuel gauge...no button on stalk. its all neat and tidy, doesnt look like someone changed it...plus its a valver on the documents so its very unlikely that someone swapped the engine over.
gettin the clocks out sounds an arse so will have to wait til i have some free time and effort...as theres nowt wrong with it. |

Tis easy, plastic bit above the dials comes off with two T20 screws.. then there are two T20's at the bottom of the clocks and I think maybe two T10's at the top... anyway its a 10 minute job! You need to take the black shroud that covers the stalks / ignition barrel off.... |

On the very late models they done away with it. Or so I was told. The l.c.d. goes all blured normally. I am lucky, mine is perfect.

some just didn't come with them.
The dashes are also completely different, a digi dash will not plug into a normal dash effort. Plugs are different. |

Pah the digi dash on the valver is one of the better things about the car! Shame how the LCD begins to split and bubble however… £300 for a new one from Renault lol! |

the wires are totally different, strip the dash outm tear the loom out fit a proper 16V loom.
Its not worth the hassle and the comp's really not that exciting. |
