recently you advised me on this issue, well having had the crank sensor replaced which sorted the problem, I now have a similar one.
this time the fuel pump primes but when I turn the key to start, the fuel pump cuts in again but no turning of the beast. Now the immob. was taken out a few years ago except the key bit under the glove box which had a lose wire (now fixed). could this be to do with it?
I left the battery -terminal disconnected for 5 mins and it started but then the next time I went to start it the same happened, only this time the battery trick isnt working? Help if you can, need to go back to work tomorrow!! Dom |

Check the little white wire that goes to the top of the starter.
When the key is turned there should be power there. |

like I said before I very much doubt it was anything to do with the crank sensor at all.
Anyway sounds like the original fault hasn't been rectified (theres a surprise).
the key immob should only affect the fuel pump so it won't be that.
theres a hold relay which may be up the creek, some daft people on williams clio maintain that its the limiter relay, the fools. this can cause a no crank situation.
but it could be the starter solenoid wire has either broken or iffy contact. |
