carry on from a pm message question i asked chris h. tried to remove the driveshaft last night, couldnt get my roll pins out. Firstly, the roll pin itself, is it a thinner tube with a solid metal pin inside, which makes up the name 'double roll pin'?
Secondly, getting the buggers out. whacking a 4mm pin punch into the hole only had the effect of getting the punch stuck, my crappy punch now has a gouge down the side of the shaft of the punch. My roll pin seems to have twisted itself out of the hole and 25% of the pin is sticking out of the hole all twisted & buggered. Do i : keep smacking the 4mm punch into the hole? or, well dunno. Some help would be great lads. |

its a 5mm pin and some are double some are single.
Keep banging it until it comes out then get a new punch. |
