Chaps,
I fixed the route cause of my battery warning light prob this weekend and replaced the alternator. All going well I thought, until I started the car up and had no servo on the brakes, it would not stop at all. The ABS and handbrake warning lights are both on too and wont go out.
I cant drive it clearly and have noticed the pump that is normally quite noticable when you turn the key to start is not making its whiring noise at all.
The pump looks like a nightmare to replace (my mech said it would cost a few quid too)
Any ideas on what this could be please let me know... the cheaper the beter!
Cheers as always

Right,
I started the car this morning and the servo was working perfectly!!! The infamous grinding/whiring noise fired up to tell me that its working and it went round the block fine and stopped fine, the ABS light out and the handrake light.
Has it fixed itself??? I am concerned about driving it due to the fact they may fail, have i got a possible lose connection?
Thanks a million. |

check for water etc on the ABS ECU and check the main power feed from the battery over to the ECU. |
