my trip computer on my 19 16v works but does not light up which makes hard to read. it sometimes lights up when you put the head lights on. the bulbs in the back of it are fine as far as i know. is this just a loose connection or something worst.
cheers |

theres 2 bulbs in it, change them, also don't twist the holder right round as the contact patch on them wears. |

have the instrument panel out to check the connections and bulbs to the digital fuel gauge.
current problem - will only light up with the head lights on
what would cause this, the bulbs are fine and the connections are all making conntact from what i can see.

the haynes manual says there is a Trip computer lighting rheostat relay. if this was faulty would it cause the trip computer to not light up. |
