price of boat?
new must be what? £60k? 50k?
mooring = per month
and as for leccy? cant see running a generator to be cheap, would guzzle fuel pretty easy
plus i heard there is a lot of maintance, and the boats should be taken out of the water once every few years.. |

Oh definately need maintainance, but so do normal homes, different kind of course, needs to be anti fouled, and generally kept ship shape, if it is a perminant mooring, you may get electric hooked up, mooring costs depentd on where you are, Canal in London more expensive that Norfolk for example.
Boat cost vary too, get a boating mag or look on

Poss 50k mark for decent livable boat, but I dont think you can get a mortgage on one, a loan yes! I had the chance of a boat when I just strted work and I was single in Essex, wished I had gone for it! |

That actual boat would set you back around 100k as its a 57' widebeam (10'' 7' baseplate) narrowboats tend to go for around £1000 per foot depending on specification, but theyre worth more after 12 months old than when they are new. |

barclays now do some sort of marine mortgage as there has been a massive boom in people buying boats to live on. |
