righty this is for chet but you lot may like it as well.
the bendix calipers are gay so we are looking into fitting front brakes on.
this is the axle with a 238mm girling front calipr on

the lower bolt won't go in due to the carrier shape, it will have to be ground away, you can just see the thread hole to the left of the carrier

this is the 16V 259mm caliper

the 238mm is a perfect fit apart from the carrier, the caliper isn't to wide.
I was thinking 21 hubs to enable front discs to be rear mounted.
front clio bendixe calipers will go straight on as they have a different design carrier wise. |

how about 21T rear discs/calipers?
I was looking at doing this but I've so far been unable to find out dimensions of the discs/bearings. |

So you would need a thing like this
[web:274136cd75]http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?cls=MSPORT&pcode=RIX650[/web:274136cd75]
But how to plumb it in to the existing setup is the question.
Cable setup is rubbish so I would like to change but with an original look (not vertical pro rally silly stuff) and hook it up to the Renault setup. |
