What's the deal with rear pads?
From GSF the ones they gave me for my sister's Pug 206CC (#N64109) are £14 (listed as Xsara). Proper Bendix branded pads.
the ones listed for the 19 16v (#R64605) are £26.50
Thinking the Pug ones looked similar I checked them against some old 19 16v ones and they are EXACTLY THE SAME.
What gives? |

So it's £12.50 extra for 4 little threaded holes?
Hmmm ok well those screws are usually missing on a 19, and the pug clearly doesn't need them anyway so bollocks to that I say, give me Pug pads! |

No need for the file, the pads fit on the carrier side with knobbly bit in place. |

Bah. Well I'm OK on mine.
Besides, I'm not even sure they came with nobs on all 4, might have only been 2, can't remember. I'll probably go and buy another set tomorrow, I'll confirm then. |

yeah do that for the site mofo, the site!
theres a dipped screw hole, a dipped no screw hole, these both use the big lead block as a damper for noise then the high sides screw hole and non screw hole that just use the rattle spring things |

Right, I've just bought another set of the Pug 206CC pads and I can confirm that they only have the nobs on 2 of the pads.
To sum up then, for rear pads from GSF on your 19 16Vs/clio 16Vs, don't get the ones listed, get
GSF part number N64109 @ £14+VAT
That's if you want to save yourself about £13 |
