I've been chatting to the lad who owns this, he wants £100 for it. I was all set to buy it and my folks decided to tell me they might be moving, which might prove a problem!
It needs a new gearbox, it drives but very noisly in 1st and 2nd, there is no third and he hasn't got up to 4th or 5th so I think we can assume its broken, lol. Its missing an alloy, the guy kicked a whole in the dash by the coin tray in anger but appart from that its rust free (it needs to be, u'd never find parts in tungy!)
Its about 150 miles from me, was going to turn up and do an AA "I've just broken down" for a tow home?
I was quite lookin forward to it for a summer project, so not sure what to do about it now Maybe wait until one comes along that drives?
Anyone local can go take a look for me? I don't want to mess the lad around and if it turns out that I have I'll probably bung him £20 anyway.

Any advice? I'm just thinking out loud here!
Its in Stoke-on-trent btw. |

I'm in total despiration about the price of them up North. Look at Pierre in Sheffield - that 5dr exec went for £1k, his knackered PH2 went for £400 and Liams chammy went for £800 - let down south (and in Scotland) they are pocket money! I'm sure Doc would back me up, just supply and demand I guess. Loads down south, lots of choice for buyers - none up north command more money for a gudun.
If anyone knows of a cure for Valvitis, please let me know!
bb - still thinking seriously about it and your GB offer is very kind Hmmm |

Guys going to start breaking it tomorrow.
Any interest? Be a shame to send it to the scrapyard in the sky. MOT'd/Taxed. |

150 miles south, unfortunatly - so no nearer to you - or to anybody else I have found for that matter! |
