hi all, im rebuilding my ren19 16v and was wondering if anyone had any tips on cleaning at the moment. like what can i clean the head or indeed the whole outside of the engine with, to bring it up almost like new? and i want to clean the inner water channels of the cooling system, and as i have got a new radiator and expansion bottle, i dont want them contaminated with the crusty old brown stuff that was going round the system before. as im sure you all know what im talking about. also, im thinking of making up a website of my restoration, anhyone think its a good or bad idea? and can i post my website here if i do it?
cheers all |

yes you can post it here, you can start a members project thread.
if you want to do it properly get it chemically dipped after stripping it down. |

Are you the guy with the black phase 1 who was advertising for parts on eBay?
Do you have any pics to share? Maybe start a project report in the projects section? |

Yeah it was upsetting, when Stan first told me on the phone "your 19 has been vandalised" I had images in my mind of all the panels being battered in, interior destroyed, lights smashed and so on, but it was just the windows thankfully.
I think there would have been blood if someone had put one of them in front of me at the time. |
