I've been sizing up a replacement bumper off a 16v for my TD, which if you've seen the pictures was pretty mashed (thanks to a wall and a badger ) Anyway, it seem's the passenger side backets are different.
On the 16v one it seems you have 1/2 bolts that go through the inner wing and in to the bumper, much like the driver side.
However, on the TD one, becuase the intercooler is right where the bolts go through they've used a different bracket whereby the bolts go through in to the bracket from the side of it.
Has anyone else come accross this? I'm not sure of the best course of action here...trying to drill holes in the 16v bracket (im not sure if their the same hight) or chopping the both off and trying to fiberglass the TD one to the 16v bumper.
Any suggestions?

I've done a quick diagram to show what i mean
http://img264.imageshack.us/my.php?image=untitled8iw.jpg
The 2 vertical and horizontal lines representing bolts. the 16v bumper i have doesn't have the same holes as the TD. the cooler is right down the front pessenger side on the td, its blocking where those bolts 'would' go through |
