any tips on tightening a fan belt on a 94 clio rsi, mines squeeling like a pig. Also how do judge the correct tightness and not over/under tighten? |

just do it up til it dont squeel...if it snaps it was old and knackered anyway.
jst do it so its tight....dont go puttin all your weight into turning the spanner tho...just hand tight...and maybe let the belt twist 45 degreees or something on a long stretch... |

technical answer is 1/2 deflection on th elongest run, or 90 degree twist with firm pressure.
If it flaps and makes a funny noise its to loose. |
