Hi,
I just got my on an F7R to go into my 19 valver. I've searched old topics on the subject but stilll not sure about a few things. I was just looking for a block but I'd like to use the whole lot if possible. Problem is the loom on the F7R engine is cut so can I swap it for the 19 loom? Will it run alright on 19 ECU with a superchip? I have piper 270 cams and pullies, will they work? Really need some good advice please. |

Yes, it will go straight in if you use the 16V manifold and downpipe.
also use the 16V loom... to do this you need to machine the hole for the dissy in the side of the head or use the 1.8 head (which you'd be an idiot to do). You need to use the 1.8 flywheel with te 1.8 loom too.
You couldn't use the meg loom even if it was complete... as the whole car's electrics are integrated into the loom and ECU etc on the megane. |

I haven't got one but will the Megane ex. manifold not fit? It looks a lot less restrictive than the 19 one. Will the 19 coolant pipes, rad and oil cooler suit? What about that charcoal filter thingy? The sump is smashed on the F7R, will one off any other models fit? Will it be down on power or run lean on the 19 management? |

See neals project reports regarding the megane exhaust manifold. 19 manifold isn't bad at all so i wouldn't bother
Coolant pipes will be fine, use the 19 thermostat housing to save any issues
Any f series sump will fit
BTW the megane engine is a 710, not a 704 |

It's a 714. Make any difference? What do I do about the throttle body and Idle Control? Can I just swap the whole inlet manifold? |

you need to use the megane inlet manifold as the ports are smaller.
You will need to bodge a mount for the TPS off the 1.8 TB and also bodge an opening for the 1.8 ISCV to plumb into. |
