Renault 11 turbo engine in a 5?

Hey,

Just out of interest, does anyone know if a renault 11 turbo engine would fit in a 5? Not too interested in doing it as havent the resources, but if I had some more money it would be an interesting project! By the looks of the engine it needs alot of refurb and would be best to be rebuilt, but its down my way and Im slightly tempted to go and have a look.Its only Â£100 at the moment.

A mate said he may go halfs on it as it as if I dont want it, he may well put it in his AX.

im not 100% either,but isnt the renault 11 and 5 just the same engine?

the engine is over 100k for a start and looks like i was taken out with great care in under 10 minutes Laughing

and is Â£100 before any reserve is met

true,it was just an idea.I know often french cars and high mileage dont mix (as my mum found out both with a laguna and a xantia)
