I ran mine at the pod a few weekends ago! My quickest time was a 16.3 and I can't remember what speed I was doing accross the line. I got vids like, but they're masssssivveeeeee. I beat an M3 off the line aswell lol.......and then it kinda creamed me yeah. But yeah I didn't even think about the circlip lol, I was just 4,000rpm and let it rip lol. Was like a legend I tell ya! |

Haven't got many pics, but here's one of me on the line ready to go....

And they also had a mobile rolling road there, which I put the car on out of curiosity like!....

It was 130bhp and 118lb/ft of torque. Where's the bloody 7bhp gone lol. Ah well, is that normal? I mean I spoze a 12yr old car isn't really gonna keep every single one of it's bhp over that time, but yeah was lower than I expected it to be really. The guy explained the power/torque graph to me then, and the peak power was at 6,323rpm.....and after that it starts dropping.......so he said that's obviously when I should be changing gear.....but when I was doing my runs down the strip, I was changing as close to 7,250rpm as I could get it. So yeah if I'd known that before, maybe I'd have got a better time! doh |

Legend Si! Good idea lol. I was up against stupid cars everytime lol. An M3, a massive V10 BMW 760i if there's even such a thing lol, a Kateram 7, a supercharged VW polo, and a few toyota starlet GT Turbos lol. Gave one of the starlets a bloody good run for it's money aswell, that was on my quickest run aswell. Was getting used to doing the starts then like.
I honestly didn't think about the circlip once lol. I always worried about it before when my mates mentioned santapod......but it went out of my mind totally! The car was awesome, like fair play to it, 4.5 hour drive to get there, then all day havin the shit ripped out of it, then next day, bit more shit ripped out of it, blast on the rolling road, then 4.5 hour drive home....and not a single glitch. Awesome car. Well, apart from the underneath :p lol |

that's really not too bad at all David, considering you let off the gas early as well as the finish line was not that well marked.
i can't remember who was behind the wheel at the time, but iirc chunk/pierries 19 16v ph2 exec was in the 14's for the 1/4 mile at the pod |
