why do you need to cut any wires?
Just unplug all the plugs and remove the loom |

Excellent plan
You'll need to spread the loom out across the floor and get yourself an ECU pin-out and take it from there
I had started to do similar for my project

Still not much progress made, my head isn't finished yet and i'm waiting for my sump to come back from being reinforced
Today i managed to spread my 19 16v loom across the floor and start removing the unneeded bits. As its a megane engine being used the actual engine control loom isn't needed, any part that goes between the ECU and a sensor was removed. For example the MAP sensor wiring was cut out .
Some wires are still attached to the ECU plug, this is either becuase they will need matching up to the emerald or are needed for something else.
I have to say some of the renault wiring really baffles me!
This pic shows a work in progress, there is still more to remove but until i can get my wiring diagram i'm a bit stuck!
