I read this book cover to cover twice in about 6 or so hours, lets say there was nothing else there to stimulate me.
We have all seen trainspotting so we know what hes like.
This was the first book of his I have read.
Have to say it was quite good. Pretty fecke dup but good.
For those of ou that know edinburgh you will knwo most of the locations, muirhouse/granton (where soneji lives btw) is described in accurate detail, well before the new builds got flung up anyway.
Anyway basically the story is about a typical fucked up boy from a schemie background and how he is abused, turns into an abuser and ultimately gets his wee fella chopped off.
Very strange and fecked up but worth a read. Some of you will struggle with the scottishness of it. |

I don't have it, but I know of a few ways you may be able to get access to it and a bit of time to read it. |

the one and only book from that occasion, can you believe I managed to blag a bible and it was taken from me!
i am not religious but if amber finds some comfort in it then i thought its worth me reading it properly - thats what I thought anyway, if only to nit pick its glaring problems if not find what she sees in it. |
