I was just washin the car, and noticed something about my rear calipers. The driver's side one seems to have a piece missing and I dunno how important it is!
So the passenger side one looks like this, and it's the piece with the red arrow on that's missing on the driver's side then....

And then this is the driver's side, which has got that 'block' thing missing......

Is this a problem? Are they meant to be different each side? I'm guessing that they're not!! Doh |

not a problem, frankly i am amazed by how many still have the bit, they normally get left off or pop out whilst driving. |

Hmmm, now you mention that.....I did hear quite a bang the other day whilst driving. And it was from that area of the car. It just sounded like someone had thrown a stone and hit the rear quarter on the driver's side of the car. Ah well, I dunno, as long as it's not a problem.
