Can I replace my standard instrument pannel in my rt with one with the trip computer - a computer was an option on the rt so it just a case of plugging it in somewhere or will it need a lot of wiring up to get it working?
edit - just realised I'd need the wiper stalk with the button it etc. - prob more hassle than it's worth - has anyone ever done this though? |

easiest way is to transfer in a 16V dash.
I have a damaged dash so you can have the loom from it if you want, easy swap. |

so it's just a case of plugging it in then.
I presume recalibrating would be neccessary if i used a 16v dash as the speedo and rev counter are different (rt is 140mph & 7000rpm whereas 16v is 150mph & 8000rpm)
Is the clio 16v dash identical? - i think there's one in the scrappy near me. |

no clio dash is different and theres no compatability issues with gearboxes or rev counter.
By dash I mean the whole dashboard not just the display. |

Purely out of interest - which 19's had the option of a trip computer/could be retrofitted with a trip computer dash? I seem to remember somewhere reading that certain cars didn't have all the required sensors to drive the computer - a road speed sensor I think it was. Is this right? |

need the road speed sensor and on the non efi versiosn there was a magic fuel flow box thing.
Was an option on 1.4's, 1.7's and 1.8's. |
