Went back to the tyre place with the toyos and 1 of the other wheels with a bald tyre.
I checked the toyos both had rim leaks, i worse than the other.
Anyway got the tyres off and I set abotu wire brushing them, the worse wheel was worse than the one with the bald tyre so I used that rim. Got them balanced and sealed etc and cost a fiver! lol
So set about dragging the blue one out to put the toyos back on, heres some pics, not bad considering its sat unwashed for about 10 months!
tis a sexy beast, really is.
It also went out on the private test track, feels fecking great! Forgot how good it is. I miss it loads actually.
I left it runnign and it cut out, cranks fine won;t fire, theres no spark, the crank sensor is fine so it may be the coil, this happened before btu was fine when I let it sit for a while, need to look closer later.
I also decided to put the rear leathers in just to see.
cloth
leather
pimpness increased by 38% with the leathers! might keep em, what do you lot reckon?
Leather donated kindly by neal, despite stretches where he had the back lying down on the pegs its in good nick. |

I thought they were destined for the exec so you could sell it?
I'd say pimpness factor is up more than that, maybe 55% or more. Trade off is the retro factor though, down by at least 45%
Also, I never had the backs down, they were like that when I got em. Like I said, the car appears to have been used for carting a dog about in the back, so they were probably permanently down while the previous owner had it. |

They are/were.
I'll see if puppy will sell me the right ones back.
Fair enough about the dog thing.
Exec will be sold, as will, I think the blue hatch, looks like the blue chammy will be the keeper.
My sister did buy me it for my 21st after all!
I will get the exec welded, fix the oil wire and stick tyhe handbrake cable on and get it tested. If by the time I have the test passed etc i don't find leather then I will sell the car with the leather. |

yes I do and indeed I am. The one on it is blowing.
The heatcylcing killed it off tbh.
idle for weeks, taken out driven 100+ miles at reasonable pace then left for weeks. Just kills em really. Boxes are fine its the pipes, and the pipe exit as we all knwo is the wrong one. But looks just liek the one in that options brochure I put up! |

Have you got a new bonnet on the Chammy Chris?
I remember it was quite bad with bubbling on the leading edge! |

Tis a shame that mate, it's a cracking car! Although personally I would have preferred you to keep the white Chammy! |

Thats not a tear the stiching let go. Sew it back together.
Can you get the seats off the runners without getting under the car. I need to get mine off to get some repairs done. Driver side LHD worn on the outside. Cloth seats not leather. I want to fit some leather to the out side, not standard but. |

your being especially daft today mate! lol
yes why do you think theres a pic of the runner son the car with no seats!
assume your drivers seat, side at the door, theres a T20 at the back that holds the trim on the side of the frame. undo it and slide it forward to get it off, you will then see the 2 T40's.
The trim in the middle of the car 2 t 20 screws one at he back then 1 at the front. remove these and the trim falls off. You will then see the 3 T40's.
undo and seats off complete with subframes btu the runners are still in the car as my pic above shows.
20 min job for both sides. |

Thanks
Never got around to playing with it.
Thought you had to get the runners off from under the car with the seats and then get at the bolts to seperate the two on the 5 door. |
